Drumhowan Notes

Senior Team- The seniors play home to Clones this Sunday 12th August at 2pm.

 

Under 16’s – St Pats 3-12 Maghercloone 0-8   St Pats completed their league programme with a win last week. They play the same opposition in the semi-final where a tough test awaits as Maghercloone had nothing to play for in last weekend’s game. This game takes place in Maghercloone on Thursday August 16th @ 7pm.

 

Under 14’s -They play Monaghan Harps at home on Saturday at 12pm.

 

Under 12’s – Training and preparation continues for the shield semi-final against Eire Og that will take place in Mid-August.

 

Go Games Blitz – On Thursday July 26th we hosted a double blitz for Under8/10. We had 5 clubs Ballybay, Latton, Corduff, Tyholland along with ourselves. We had 130 children taking part on a glorious summers evening with six games been played at once before a large crowd. Everything on the evening ran smoothly and the evening’s football was enjoyed by all. Thanks to our young whistlers Josh Sherry, Mark Mc Cabe and Michael Duffy and to the stewards and helpers who assisted on the night.

 

Under 8 Blitz – The next blitz for under 8’s takes place on this Saturday August 11th in Drumhowan. Can all players be at the pitch for 9-45 and the blitz will be finished for 11-45am

 

Geraldines summer camp – This takes place from Tuesday August 14th to Thursday August 16th from 10 to 2pm daily – It is free of charge and open to primary school children. Application forms should be given back to Noel Duffy by this Friday as we need to finalise numbers. You can contact

Get Well Soon- Get well to Dermot Mc Dermott who successfully underwent back surgery in the last few weeks.

 

Intermediate Championship- The Intermediate Football Championship game between Sean Mc Dermotts and Donaghmoyne will take place in Drumhowan on August 17th at 7.30.

Sympathy- The club wishes to express sincere sympathies to Pat and Diane Daly and family, Cabra on the death of Diane’s father Kevin Donlon. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
