Lotto Winner: Congratulations to our most recent lotto winner Ellen Deery who scooped the jackpot of €2,600 with the 4 lucky numbers 2, 6, 21, 22. Seller was Ethna Treanor. Sellers prizes: Niall Keenan & Eamon Treanor. Next week’s jackpot is €1,000. Check Team: Gary.

Ulster Final: Good luck to Adam Treanor and the Monaghan County Minors who play in the Ulster Final this Sunday.

Seniors: Our next SFL game is this Saturday against Castleblayney at 7pm in Oram. We then play at home to Magheracloone on Wednesday at 7.45pm.

Reserve B: We drew with Latton last Wednesday 0-8 each before beating Clontibret 3-8 to 2-8 last Saturday. We were due to play away to Scotstown on Wednesday last.

Reserve D: We complete our league campaign with an away game against Emyvale on Saturday at 5.30pm.

U-21: We defeated Castleblayney last Friday, in the quarter final, 1-17 to 1-8. We were due to play Latton in the semi-final last Tuesday. Check our twitter account for further details.

Minors: Due to Monaghan reaching the Ulster final, our championship now begins in August.

Cairde: Cairde jackets are now being distributed to all current members. Our club cairde is now in year 3 and remains an essential source of funding for the development of our facilities. New members are very welcome to join. Again, we thank all those who contribute to this scheme as they are assisting greatly in the progression of amenities utilised by young and old of the parish.

Party Bookings: Can be made for either bar. For booking contact 0861991150.

Club Shop: The club shop is open each Friday evening between 7-8pm. Sale rail with Hoodies, T-shirts, Water-Proof Track Bottoms, Rain Jackets and Padded Jackets. For that special occasion why not purchase a Gift Voucher. Many items to choose from.

U-16: We defeated Latton last Thursday. We play away to Castleblayney this Thursday evening at 7pm.

U-12: Check with management.

U-14: Our U14a team drew with Clontibret on Friday evening last, the final score was 2-21 to 5-12.
Our 14b team defeated Clontibret on Saturday Morning last. Next Games for both teams will be on Saturday the 11th of August at home. If any U14 players are available to help out with the U10 blitz on Saturday next the 28th July, please come to St Mellans at 9am.

U-6, 8 & 10: Training every Thursday evening in St. Mellans from 7-8pm.We are hosting a U-8 & U-10 go games blitz next Tuesday 24th July, 7-9pm. We then host our annual U-10 blitz on Saturday 28th July.

 

Hurling:

Seniors –We beat Monaghan Harps last Thursday 4-10 to 1-6 to advance to the semi-final of the senior championship. Semi-finals is on this Thursday against Castleblayney in Monaghan at 7.30pm.

 

Camogie:

Juveniles: We are currently working on a new programme for our juvenile members.  Details to follow shortly.

Seniors: It has been decided that we are going to train along with the senior ladies, please see text for times.

 

 

Ladies Football:

Congratulations: To Rachel, Natasha, Caoimhe, Eileen & the Monaghan Senior Ladies team & management on winning the Ulster Title last Sunday . Well Done to all involved.

 

Training: Senior training takes place on Wednesday & Friday at 7.45pm and on Sunday morning at 10.45am. Full turnouts expected.

Championship: Our senior championship semi final takes place on Sunday 29th July when we play Monaghan Harps. Time & Venue to be confirmed.

 

Reserves: We had a good win against Maghercloone last Friday night in Kilmore, Scotstown . Possible Reserve fixture this Saturday . Ask management for details .

 

 

Liathroid Laimhe:

Summer Play. As we have seen over the past month the weather has not been kind to us for outdoor activities so why not pop into the alleys and have some light exercise in dry warm conditions.
