Seniors: In a very disappointing performance, we lost heavily in the latest round of the SFL last Friday, going down 0-4 to 1-17 to Monaghan Harps.  Our team and scorers were: Ian Treanor; Mike Treanor, Niall Feely, John McCarron; Justin Halligan, Keith Sheerin, Niall Coyle (0-1); Pauric Treanor (0-1), Niall McQuillan; Barry Cuddy, Christopher McKenna, Damian McRory; Eoghan Kelly, Gary Todd, Mark Counihan (0-2f). Subs Used: Adam Treanor for Chrissy McKenna (24mins) & Darren Todd for John McCarron (58mins). Subject to Monaghan’s progression in the qualifiers, our next SFL game is on Saturday 21st July against Castleblayney.

Reserve B: We lost to Magheracloone last Wednesday 0-10 to 0-11. We were due to play Latton last Wednesday. We follow this with a home game to Clontibret this Saturday 14th July at 7pm. Then we play away to Scotstown next Wednesday 18th July at 7.45pm.

Reserve C: We have now concluded the season for our C’s. It was an unsuccessful campaign with only 1 win recorded in the league, albeit a match conceded to us.

Reserve D: Our next game is Saturday 21st July away to Emyvale.

U-21: We play the quarter final against Castleblayney tomorrow, Friday, in St. Mellans at 7.45pm.

Minors: We drew with Cremartin 2-12 to 1-15 last Tuesday night to conclude our league campaign. We finished in joint 5th position with 2 wins and a draw from 7 matches. Due to Monaghan reaching the Ulster final, our championship now begins in August.

Ulster Final Tickets: Anyone wishing to obtain tickets for the Ulster Final must order by this Thursday at 10pm from Ursula-086 4114027.

Recreational Football: Challenge match this Saturday against Monaghan Harps in Monaghan.

Lotto Jackpot €2,600: There was no winner this week’s jackpot of €2,400. The lucky 4 numbers were 6, 8, 15, 24. There were 3 match 3 winner receiving €70: Adrian Sherry, Ronnie Steele (Yearly Ticket) & Bob Singelton (YT). Sellers Prize: Jacks & Camogie Club. Check team: Ursula’s. Next jackpot draw is worth €2600.

Cairde: Cairde jackets are now being distributed to all current members. Our club cairde is now in year 3 and remains an essential source of funding for the development of our facilities. New members are very welcome to join. Again, we thank all those who contribute to this scheme as they are assisting greatly in the progression of amenities utilised by young and old of the parish.

Party Bookings: Can be made for either bar. For booking contact 0861991150.

Club Shop: The club shop is open each Friday evening between 7-8pm. Sale rail with Hoodies, T-shirts, Water-Proof Track Bottoms, Rain Jackets and Padded Jackets. For that special occasion why not purchase a Gift Voucher. Many items to choose from.

U-16: We play Latton at home this Thursday evening at 6.45pm.

U-12: Check with management.

U-14: Our U14a team play Clontibret on Saturday next the 14th July @ 1.15pm in St Mellans.
Players please assemble @ 12.30pm. Our U14b team also play Clontibret on Saturday next the 14th July @ 12pm in St Mellans. Players are asked to assemble @ 11.15am.

U-6, 8 & 10: Training every Thursday evening in St. Mellans from 7-8pm.

 

Hurling:

Seniors –We lost to Castleblayney last week in the 4th Round of the SHC. We play at home to Monaghan Harps this Thursday at 8pm.

 

Camogie:

Juveniles: We are currently working on a new programme for our juvenile members.  Details to follow shortly.

Seniors: It has been decided that we are going to train along with the senior ladies, please see text for times.

 

 

Ladies Football:

Training:Training is now every Monday & Wednesday nights at 7.45pm sharp. New players are still very much welcome to come along.

 

Registration: Is now due to be paid and can be given to Pauline Treanor(Morris) at training. Please make it your priority to pay this asap

 

 

 

Liathroid Laimhe:

Summer Play. As we have seen over the past month the weather has not been kind to us for outdoor activities so why not pop into the alleys and have some light exercise in dry warm conditions.
