Seniors: Our next SFL game is this Friday 6th July away to Monaghan Harps at 8pm. We were drawn against Latton in the rd. 1B of the SFC, to be played in August.

Reserve B: We were due to play Magheracloone on Wednesday last. We follow this fixture with an away match to Latton on Wednesday 11h July at 7.45pm.

Reserve C: Our last game of this competition is away to Castleblayney on July 13th.

Reserve D: We were awarded the points last Friday evening as Toome conceded the match. Our next game is Saturday 21st July away to Emyvale.

U-21: We beat Monaghan Harps last Sunday 3-10 to 1-11. We have now reached the quarter final stage. It takes place next Tuesday in St. Mellans at 7.45pm.

Minors: We beat Sean McDermotts  last Saturday 5-14 to 2-9. We were due to play at home to Cremartin on Tuesday last in our last league outing. Due to Monaghan reaching the Ulster final, our championship now begins in August.

Recreational Football: Well done to all involved in winning the tournament played in Scotstown last weekend.

Lotto Jackpot €2,400: There was no winner this week’s jackpot of €2,200. The lucky 4 numbers were 3, 16, 17, 18. There were 3 match 3 winner receiving €70:Gerry Reynolds-Kilnadrain, Finbar McKenna-Drumcondra & Gillian McCaffrey-Davagh. Sellers prize: Mickey Brady & St. Mellans. Next jackpot draw is worth €2400.

CPR/AED TRAINING: CPR/AED TRAINING set for this Saturday 7th July  9am to 1pm in St Mellans. Course fee is €20. If interested please book your place by emailing Eilish on  treanor.eilish@gmail.com or Regina on reginacorrmc@gmail.com. This training could help save a life 

Cairde: Cairde jackets are now being distributed to all current members. Our club cairde is now in year 3 and remains an essential source of funding for the development of our facilities. New members are very welcome to join. Again, we thank all those who contribute to this scheme as they are assisting greatly in the progression of amenities utilised by young and old of the parish.

Party Bookings: Can be made for either bar. For booking contact 0861991150.

Club Shop: The club shop is open each Friday evening between 7-8pm. Sale rail with Hoodies, T-shirts, Water-Proof Track Bottoms, Rain Jackets and Padded Jackets. For that special occasion why not purchase a Gift Voucher. Many items to choose from.

U-12: Check with management.

U-6, 8 & 10: Training every Thursday evening in St. Mellans from 7-8pm.

 

Hurling:

Seniors –We beat Carrickmacross 2-11 to 3-07 last week in the 3rd Round of the SHC. We play away to Castleblayney tonight, Thursday, at 8pm.

 

Camogie:

Juveniles: We are currently working on a new programme for our juvenile members.  Details to follow shortly.

Seniors: It has been decided that we are going to train along with the senior ladies, please see text for times.

 

 

Ladies Football:

Training:Training is now every Monday & Wednesday nights at 7.45pm sharp. New players are still very much welcome to come along.

 

Registration: Is now due to be paid and can be given to Pauline Treanor(Morris) at training. Please make it your priority to pay this asap

 

 

 

Liathroid Laimhe:

Feile Na Gael. As we are reading these notes today our The Feile na nGael team are in action in the Competition at The City West Hotel in Dublin, they will playing in the alleys which will be used for the World Championships in October, the club and parish would like to wish the team of James Mc Kenna(SH), Gary Mc Kenna(D), Aaron Mohan, Ryan Mohan, Gary Mohan and Cormac Mc Kenna(SH) along with coach Michael Mc Carron all the best during the 2 days play in Dublin. Parents of the players also have travelled so lets hope all have an enjoyable and successful time away. Full match report next week.

Summer Play. As we have seen over the past month the weather has not been kind to us for outdoor activities so why not pop into the alleys and have some light exercise in dry warm conditions.
