Sean Mc Dermotts Notes

July 3rd, 2012

Sean Mac Diarmada Notes 5-7-12

Fixtures:

Thurs 5th July U 16 Clones V Seans @7:00pm

Fri 6th July IFL Seans V Inniskeen @ 8:00pm.

Adult Team:

Our Intermediate team had a very successful few weeks which is starting to see them put league points on the board. We have a very important game at home on Friday night against close league table rivals Inniskeen. This is surely a real “4 pointer” so a positive result is required. Now that we have settled on a team hopefully we can take the spoils tomorrow night.

Camp Action:

Ciaran Murphy’s multi-sport summer camp, runs this year from 16-20 and 23-27 July in our local grounds. Camp involves all sports as well arts and crafts with the emphasis on participation rather than performance. For more information contact Ciaran on 0876840238.

Over 35’s:

Some of our players from recent days gone by knocked the cobwebs from their boots and togged out last Saturday in Kilmore in aid of charity. The competition was organized by Gerry and Kate Reilly from Eire Og. We held our own and defeated Keady, Scotstwon and Eire Og in the process. We eventually succumbed to Truagh in the final match. We now realize that the only time the clocks can be turned back is the last Saturday in October, and certainly not on the football field. Training continues as normal every weekend night till late.

Cultural Night:

Our Traditional Irish Music session takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month. Next session takes place on Friday 13th July. Junior musicians will kick off proceedings @ 9pm sharp, with the pace rapidly increasing as the night goes on! We look forward to seeing you all there for a great night’s entertainment!

Céile Dancing Classes take place each Tuesday evening, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Edel, Michelle & Paula look forward to seeing all the regulars!
