Ballybay moved four points clear at the top of the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League on Friday when they came from three points down inside the final quarter to edge a one-point win over Castleblayney. Carrickmacross and Clontibret had three points to spare against Latton and Scotstown respectively, while Monaghan Harps ran out comfortable winners at home to Truagh. The game between Magheracloone and Currin was postponed.

Monaghan Electrical

Just five days after Tyholland cruised past Aughnamullen in the championship, the teams played out a draw in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League, leaving them involved in a four-way tie for second place, while Seán McDermotts and Inniskeen also finished all-square, moving the Seáns (who have now won two and drawn two of their last four games) level with Corduff in the battle to stay up.

Silver Hill Foods

Castleblayney and Inniskeen continue to maintain 100% records in the Silver Hill Foods Senior Hurling Championship after comfortable wins over Truagh and Carrickmacross respectively on Thursday, while Clontibret got the better of Monaghan Harps.

Emyvale got a walkover from Oram in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division Three on Friday.

 

Monaghan Harps reached the semi-finals of Division Five at Féile na nGael thanks to wins over Skerries and Liffey Gaels from Dublin and Tyrone’s Carrickmore, but another Dublin side, Raheny, proved a bridge too far in the last four.
