Toome ended their long wait for their third win of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League when they beat Aughnamullen on Wednesday.
Clones are out on their own at the top of the Eurotech Junior Football League despite letting a six-point lead slip in a draw at home to neighbours Killeevan on Wednesday, while Éire Óg got the better of Aghabog to draw level with Oram at the other end of the table. There are now just four points between top and bottom.
Castleblayney beat their nearest rivals Scotstown on Wednesday to move three points clear at the top of the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division One, while third-placed Monaghan Harps edged out Tyholland. Clontibret had a similarly narrow win over Latton to leapfrog them into fourth and Magheracloone pipped Truagh to keep their chances of qualifying alive.
Drumhowan and Doohamlet are now in a three-way tie for second place in the RFL Division Two after they defeated Carrickmacross and Ballybay respectively on Wednesday.
Monaghan Harps squeezed into the last semi-final place in the GRM Minor Football League Division One on Tuesday. The Harps came from behind to beat Carrickmacross which, along with Clontibret’s defeat against Scotstown, was enough to give them fourth place.
Emyvale cruised to victory in their GRM MFL Division Two semi-final against Latton, while the game between Donaghmoyne and Magheracloone was postponed.
St. Patrick’s and Corduff will contest the MFL Division Three Final. Ballybay and Drumhowan amalgamation St. Pat’s got the better of Inniskeen, while Corduff saw off the challenge of Blackhill.
