Lotto . The Lotto draw for the week ending 2nd July saw the following numbers being drawn…..5, 10, 13 and 27. The jackpot was not won and four players won fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip. The winners were Nicola Smith and Colin Moore, Sean Fitzsimons, Magheracloone, Ruth Babington, Magheracloone and Paddy Rafferty.
The draw held in the clubrooms for the week ending 9th July produced the following numbers…..10, 23, 24 and 25. The Jackpot was not won. The Lucky Dip winners were Ann Quigley, c/o The Lookout, Matthew Boylan, c/o Boylan’s, Martin and Daniella and Mary Fox, Cloughvalley.
The next draw will be held in the clubrooms on Monday 16th July.
Senior Team. After the disappointing defeat to Castleblayney in the championship Magheracloone will now face Scotstown in the qualifier section. This game is down for decision on 24th/25th August.
In the meantime the league continues with a series of games over the coming weeks. The game versus Currin had to be postponed on Friday evening owing to weather conditions. The next visitors to Magheracloone are Latton on Saturday 21st with a throw-in time of 7.00.
The Reserve league continues with a game away to Castleblayney on this Saturday 14th at 7.00 followed by a home game versus Tyholland on Wednesday 18th. This team will hope to continue their recent run of form which includes a one point win over Truagh.
Juvenile News. In the U-14 league the next game is an away encounter with Seans on this Saturday 14th.
U-16 and Minor. In the U-16 league the recent results have included a draw with Aughnamullen and the next game is away to Seans on this Thursday.
Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting for July will be held in the clubrooms on Tuesday 17th at 8.30 p.m. All members are invited to attend.
Tickets. Those wishing to obtain tickets for the Ulster Finals are asked to contact the club secretary, Martin Farrelly, by Friday 13th at twelve noon. He can be contacted at 087 9574354. Remember that two club members are on the Monaghan panel for the minor final.
Tickets for the All Ireland qualifier versus Laois on Sunday 15th can be got from various outlets including Cloghan up to Friday evening 13th. This game will be played in Portlaoise with a three o’clock throw-in.
Best Wishes. The club would to extend best wishes for a speedy recovery to Fintan Kindlon and Killian Rudden as they battle with recent injuries. Both men are vital members of the senior panel and they will be missed in the league and championship battles to come.
Congratulations. The club extends congratulations to Tommy Freeman and his wife Fiona on the birth of their son, Killian.
Cul Camps. It is not too late to register for the Cul Camp that will be held in Magheracloone at the end of July. Those wishing to attend are asked to get their name in as soon as possible.
