* Senior Football

On Friday evening our senior team played away to Carrick, on a bad evening for football our lads never got going and lost by 3pts in the end. Carrick played with the wind in the first half and were 1-2 up after 6 minutes. Latton didn’t get there first score till the 21^st minute. Brendan Lennon scored a goal before half time to keep latton in the game. Things didn’t get any better in the second half with us struggling to get possession around the middle and when Carrick scored their second goal there was no way back for Latton.  Carrick 2-8 Latton 1-8. Reserve football

We played away to Clontibret on Wednesday evening 4^th July, unfortunately there was no celebrations for us as Clontibret run out 1pt winners. A number of our players failed to show up for the game but the lads who played put in a great effort and were unlucky not to get a result.  Score: Latton 1-10 Clontibret 0-14. U-8  &  U-10

On Saturday afternoon we went to Cloghan for a u-8 blitz. We were lucky with the weather and had two very enjoyable hours of football. There will be a U-10 blitz this Saturday in Cloghan. Training continues Friday evenings from 6 to 7.  Any parents who are not getting text messages about training contact juvenile management.

U-12

Our U-12 team got another great result on Saturday against Clontibret at home. Latton 3-12 Clontibret 2-08. Our next game is away to Drumhowan on Sat 21^st.

GAA Cul camp

Latton will host the Kellogg’s GAA Cul camp from Monday 23th to Friday 27th of July. Activities will run from 10.00am to 2.30pm. All children from 6 years to 13 years welcome. This is a great opportunity for the kids to make new friends and improve on all there GAA skills. This year there will be an opportunity to learn all the skills of handball with members of the Bawn handball club who have won Ulster and All Ireland titles.  Application forms from the club or local outlets. U-14

We play Killeevan at home on 14^th July, training continues as normal.

U16

Our U-16 team played two games last week unfortunately losing both by a narrow margin. Our next game is away to Truagh on Thursday 12^th all players to meet at centre at 5-45.

U21

Missing a number of players we were lucky to get a point against a Blayney team who played with 14 players for most of the game. Latton 0-9  Blayney 0-9. We play the winners of Truagh V Castleblayney in the semi-final on Tuesday 17^th  July, this will be a home game for Latton.

Ulster minor  final.

As this is an all ticket game tickets orders have to be in before fri 13^th at 12 o’ clock. For orders Contact club Secretary Francis Ward as soon as possible.
