Congratulations: to our U14b team, who won the div 6 championship final last week, defeating Rockcorry in Drumhowan last Tuesday. This was the club’s first trophy of the year. Our players involved where Kieran McKenna, Matthew McKenna, Finbarr McGinn, Shane McKenna, Cormac McKenna, Gary Mohan, Cillian Woods, Shane Woods, Dermot Boyle, Oisin Treanor, Karl Magee, Shane Sherlock, Dara Cassidy & Jamie Treanor. Well done to all players and mentors involved.
Seniors: Our next game is in the league on Friday 6th July away to Monaghan Harps.
Reserve B: We defeated Tyholland last Thursday 1-12 to 0-9 to record our second victory of the league campaign. Our next game is at home to Magheracloone on Wednesday 4th July at 8pm.
Reserve C: We were defeated last Friday evening 0-5 to 4-19 against Aughnamullen. Our last game of this competition is away to Castleblayney on July 20th.
Reserve D: Our next game is this Friday 29th June at home to Toome at 8pm.
U-21: We were defeated by Scotstown last Saturday 2-9 to 1-13. Our next game is this Sunday at home to Monaghan Harps at 2.15pm.
Minors: We resume the league this Saturday away to Sean McDermotts at 7.30pm. We then play at home to Cremartin on Tuesday next at 8pm.
Well Done: to Adam Treanor who was on the Monaghan minor team who defeated Down last Sunday to reach the Ulster final.
Recreational Football: We are invited to a charity recreational football competition this Saturday in Kilmore-Scotstown this Saturday. The competition starts at 3.30pm. Players report for wd40 treatment at 3.15pm.
Cul Camp: Cul camp is taking place in St. Mellans from 2nd July to 6th July. Cost is EUR55 for the first child. Check www.monaghangaa.ie for more details.

Cairde: Cairde jackets are now being distributed to all current members. Our club cairde is now in year 3 and remains an essential source of funding for the development of our facilities. New members are very welcome to join. Again, we thank all those who contribute to this scheme as they are assisting greatly in the progression of amenities utilised by young and old of the parish.

Seniors –We lost to Inniskeen last week in the 2nd Round of the SHC. We play at home to Carrickmacross tonight, Thursday at 8pm.

Club Presentation. We held our Annual Club presentation Saturday night past in St.Mellans, it was a well attended night with almost all players who had won or were runners-up being represented, the club would like to thank the reigning Senior 40 x 20 Champion Terry Kieran from Carrickmacross who was there to do the presenting of trophies, Terry is always very welcome down to St.Mellans. Well done to all our club champions of 2011-12 season but a special word of congratulations must go to Frank Mc Kenna on winning the “Club Person of The Year Award”, a very worthy winner in all aspects of his club activates as was lined out by Kevin on the night, well done Frank. As the year comes to a close we would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support year in and year out, without you all our competitions would not be possible, Tru Wood, Mono Furniture, Silver Hill Foods, Gola Furniture, The High House and Coalisland Fireplaces.
Feile Na Gael. The last remaining handball outing of the year The Feile na nGael Competition will take place over the first week of July the 5th & 6th in the newly constructed alleys in the City West Hotel which will be used for the World Championships in October, so boys get ready for the big stage and keep practising, the team is James Mc Kenna(SH), Gary Mc Kenna(D), Aaron Mohan, Ryan Mohan, Gary Mohan and Cormac Mc Kenna(SH).
Summer Play. As many club members as possible should avail of the free lighting in the alleys during some slightly summery evenings, remember parents get them in to the alleys during the wet evenings.
