Under 8’s and 10’s:

There is a double blitz for U-8’S AND 10’S in Doohamlet in on Monday 25^th June @ 7:30 pm. Children interested in participating should ensure they attend Saturday morning’s coaching session so that their names can be included on the travelling panels. Bus leaves complex @6:30pm via Corcaghan co-op @ 6:40pm.

U10 BILTZ BALLYBAY 16/06/12

OUR UNDER 10’S RETURNED TO A RAIN SOAKED BALLYBAY FOR THEIR LATEST ROUND OF GAMES LAST SATURDAY MORNING.
OTHER PARTICIPATING CLUBS ON THE DAY WERE EIRE OG, BALLYBAY, AND INNISKEEN. THE WEATHER TOOK A TURN FOR THE WORST WHEN THE GAME STARTED AND OUR BRAVE YOUNG GAELS WERE DRENCHED. DESPITE THIS THEY PLAYED THEIR BEST AGAINST SOME VERY STRONG OPPOSITION AND WITH PATRICK TREANOR,FINTAN KEOGH, CONOR BRENNAN, TIM PERKINS, SHANE FREEMAN AND SEAN MC KENNA LEADING THE WAY THEY GAVE A GOOD ACCOUNT OF THEIR FOOTBALLING SKILLS.
DEAN MC GUIRK, CAOIMHE MC CABE, TIM MCGUINNESS, CIARAN MAGUIRE AND BEN FORDE ALL INTERCHANGED POSITIONS AND ADAPTED VERY WELL TO THE EXTREME CONDITIONS PLAYING HEARTS OUT.
DESPITE THE WEATHER ALL ENJOYED THE GAMES AND THE HOST CLUB, BALLYBAY, ONCE AGAIN PROVIDED REFRESHMENTS ON THE DAY FOR ALL THE TEAMS.

Cultural Night: Our traditional Irish Music session took place last Friday in the complex. This was a terrific night’s entertainment. A huge thank you to all – our local talent, plus musicians from Clones, Corcaghan C.C.É. and Monaghan C.C.É. A fantastic night was had by all.

So remember to keep the 2nd Friday free, next session takes place on Friday 13th July. We look forward to seeing you all there. Everyone welcome!
