CLUB NOTES

5th June 2012

Breaking News

I am really excited to kick off this week’s club notes with some breaking news. Okay folks, you may have to sit down to continue reading! Here it is, the final arrangements are being made to get the legendary Mick O’Dwyer to visit the club. Holly Hole in the Donut, is that right? Yes, that’s right folks you read it here first. The Kerry football legend, arguably one of the most successful managers that the Association has ever seen will be making a visit to the club during the month of June. As I have already mentioned the finishing touches are being made and as soon as I have confirmation of a date I will let you know. You won’t want to miss this!!!

Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League

They say, “goals win games” and there was never a better example of that adage when our senior team travelled to play Donaghmoyne last Friday 1st June because two first half goals ultimately proved the difference and earned our senior team both league points in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate football campaign. This was a terrific team effort as the lads showed commendable spirit, passion, desire which seemed to flow through the team and in the end they produced a gutsy performance to eke out a noteworthy win over a strong and determined Donaghmoyne side on a score-line Donaghmoyne 0-11 Rockcorry 2-9. Please visit www.rockcorrygaa.ie for a full match report and a selection of action photographs.
