The final of the Primary School 5th and 6th class skills competition took place in Cloghan on Saturday 12th May. The 4 finalists were;
- Enda Mc Philips from Latton NS
- Jack Brannigan from Annyalla NS
- Jake Mc Manus from Castleblayney BNS
- Andrew Woods from Blackstaff NS
The final was very exciting with all 4 players finishing level on 60 points each. Time then came into play and Jack Brannigan from Annyalla NS was the winner with the quickest time overall.
All players received prizes, kindly sponsored by the county board.
Monaghan Coaching & Games Development Committee would like to thank all the schools that took part in the competition, overall we had 32 schools with 64 players taking part. We would like to thank Gaelscoil Ultain and Carrickmacross BNS for the use of their facilities for the semi-finals and to Cloghan for hosting the final. Also thank you to County footballer Colin Walsh for presenting the finalists with their prizes.
