Lotto . The Lotto draw for the week ending 11th June saw the following numbers being drawn…..6, 9, 11 and 15. The jackpot was not won and four players won fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip. The winners were Diane McEneaney, Carrickmacross, Adam Browne, Kingscourt, Charlene Cadden, Corglass, Bailieboro’ and Thomas Carlon.
The next draw will be held on the 18th June in the clubrooms.
Senior League. The final senior league game before the opening championship encounter ended with a victory over Scotstown on Sunday afternoon last. This was a closely fought contest with the result in doubt right up to the final minute. A late Magheracloone goal proved to be decisive and Magheracloone claimed the points on offer with two points to spare. This result, along with the two previous victories, sees Magheracloone move to joint second in the League table and will provide a confidence booster for the battles ahead.
The next outing is on June 30th and it’s the championship clash with Castleblayney. The venue is Inniskeen and the throw-in is timed for 6-15.
Reserves. The Reserve team had a break last week but they played Latton in the League on Wednesday and will have their next outing versus Clontibret on Sunday 17th. This is a home game and the throw-in is at 12.30.
Juvenile News. The U-14 team made the trip to Aughnamullen on Tuesday evening to face Corduff in the Division 2 championship final. On this occasion Corduff came out on top to claim the title on a score of 3-15 to 2-9.
On the same evening the U-14 girls’ team faced Aghabog in the Division 2 league final and turned in a winning performance to claim the county title. The final score in this game was 4-11 to 2-6.
Ulster Championship Tickets. The Ulster semi-final clash with Down on 24th in Armagh is an all ticket encounter and those wishing to attend this game can obtain tickets through the club secretary, Martin Farrelly.
Tickets must be ordered by this Sunday evening at 5.00 p.m. The prices for tickets are as follows: Stand… Adult-25 Euro, Senior Citizen-15 euro and Juvenile- 5 Euro (as part of a family ticket).
The Terrace tickets are priced at …Adult-15 Euro, Senior Citizen/Student-10 Euro and Juvenile-5 Euro.
A number of car passes are available for elderly/disabled supporters and can also be booked through the club secretary at 087 9574354.
Just4keepers. A new, innovative programme especially for goalkeepers is being rolled out in Co. Monaghan for the first time in 2012. This is a specialized goalkeeper course and it is open to all aspiring keepers aged from 10 to 16 years of age.
The first session takes place in the Clontibret Training Field on Monday 18th June at the following times. For those aged 10 to 13 the session is from 5.30 to 6.30 while those aged from 14-16 have a session from 6.45 to 7.45.
