Doohamlet stretched their lead at the top of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League to five points with Wednesday’s win over Toome. Rockcorry and Cremartin have now joined Tyholland and Aughnamullen in a four-way tie for second place after Rock continued their good run with a four-point win against Inniskeen and Cremartin drew with Donaghmoyne. Meanwhile, Seán McDermotts are off the bottom after they picked up a second successive win at the expense of Corduff.

Eurotech

Blackhill beat Éire Óg in the Eurotech Junior Football League to leap from second-bottom to a share of third place, leaving the Smithborough men rooted to the foot of the table.
