Eoghan Mc Ginnity was the talk of the Mount Talbot One wall tournament as he defeated opponent after opponent to win the competition. This follows his recent victory in the Williamstown tournament. His first victory on Saturday began at the Four Roads centre and continued in the Mattie Mc Donagh Centre in Ballygar, County Galway. Eoghan went through each round of the competition without dropping more than a few points. Indeed it was felt that his final opponent, Jason O’Tuathail from Inis Mór would present the most difficulty. However he too was unable to score more than a few points as Eoghan displayed his full array of serves and killshots to win easily.
Further Harps successes followed. Justas Dambinskas beat up to four tough opponents to win the Plate competition in the Under 12 age group. Ramunas and Louise Mc Ginnity both reached the Semifinal stages in their respective competitions and Martin Mc Entee reached the Golden Masters final.
Monaghan Harps would like to thank the Mount Talbot officials for looking after our players and their parents throughout the weekend.
Our next outing is to the Feile competition and to the National One Wall competition in Dublin in early July.
