Emyvale made it two wins from two in the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship when they beat Oram by 1-15 to 1-9 in Cremartin on Friday. A 15th-minute goal by James Bellew, who finished with 1-2, had Emyvale in charge and even though Oram found the net through Pauric Graham, Declan Brennan’s side led by 1-6 to 1-3 at half-time. Emyvale hit four unanswered points midway through the second half to take control and they never looked back, as they set up a meeting with Blackhill in the next round. Seven players got on the scoresheet for Emyvale, including John Thomas Treanor, Daniel McMahon and Gavin McKernan hitting three points each, in contrast to Oram, who relied on Graham (1-5) for all but four points of their total.
