Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in Bens Place was Z,F,Q,K. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were Paddy Mc Aree, Smithboro, James Leonard, Carnowen, Gerard Leonard, Clones, Mary Croarkin, Killykeeragh, Christopher Mc Gorman, Coolatty, Mary Treanor, The Meadows, Martin Mc Clave, Roslea. Next Sunday nights draw will be held in the Skule Inn.  The Jackpot will be €1,600. Thanks to all for your continued support to what is an essential club income. Weekly tickets can be purchased at a number of outlets in the village or from any club member. Alternatively you can become a yearly or quarterly subscriber to the Lotto by contacting any of our club members. MD = Monthly Draw, SM = Special Member. Team C is on lotto duty on Sunday 17th June.

Golf Classic – Eire Og GAA Club is currently preparing to stage a Golf Classic at Clones Golf Club on Saturday, June 23rd. This will be one of the club’s major fundraising event for 2012 and proceeds from which will go towards reducing the debt on the redevelopment of the clubs playing facilities and if possible we are looking for your support.

We invite you to avail of the opportunity to become a part of the Classic through entering a team for the event or sponsoring a tee box. Each team will consist of four people, men, women or mixed. Entry Fee per team is €120.  Tee Box Sponsorship is €50. If you and your golf team want to have the bragging rights as the Eire Og Golf Classic Champions of 2012, get your team together and book them onto the time-sheet by contacting Raymond Leonard 087 2459328 or Colm McMahon 086 2525908 and the best of luck!!

Under 14 – Eire Og reached the u-14 champponsorhipionship final with a hard fought victory over Inniskeen on Thursday last. Final scoreline was Eire Og 0-18 Inniskeen 2-07. The game was played in a constant downpour but both teams made light of the conditions and played some great football with the scores level on 3 occasions. Eire Og pulled away in the last quarter with great points from Conor Leonard, Jason Gavan, Tommie Monaghan and Paul Monaghan. Panel of players on duty was Francis McMahon, Donal Leonard, Blain Smith, Shane Monaghan, Daniel Toal, Calvin Carlisle, Darren Duffy, Paul Monaghan, Conor Leonard, Regan McAree, Tommie Monaghan, Jason Gavan, Owen Cusack, Cian McAree, Darragh Hamill.

The championship final is fixed for Tuesday next, June 19th. Best of luck to all the lads and mgt. Time and venue to be confirmed. In between that, the u-14 team is away to Aughnamullen this Saturday in the league.

Seniors – recorded a 3 point victory against Aghabog in the first round of the Junior Championship played in Clontibret on Sunday last. Final Score Eire Og 0-11 Aghabog 0-08. Next game is away to Blackhill on Wednesday June 27th in the league.  Throw in time 8pm.

Under 6,8 & 10 Coaching Mornings –Our under-age coaching for our under-6s, under-8s and under-10s continues on Sunday mornings in Railway Park at 11.15am. Both boys and girls over 5 years of age are very welcome.

Under 12-   are at home to Latton on Saturday June 23rd at 12noon.

Under 16 – will resume their league action on Thursday 21st June with an away game to Corduff. Throw in at 7pm.

Ladies Football .U12&U14 Training Tuesday the 19th June from 6.00-7.30
u16s: Next training Sunday 17th June at 11.30am.

Club Newsletter – The first edition of our club newsletter was distributed last week throughout the village and parish. If there is anybody who did not receive a copy and would like to so please contact any club member.

Reserves –played away to Toome last night (Wednesday). Please see results elsewhere. Next game is at home to Emyvale on Sunday next, June 17th. Throw in time 2pm.

Congratulations to Mary Croarkin and Trevor Jordan who were married in Magherarney on Friday last. Congratulations also to Aaron and Donna McQuaid (nee Flynn) on the birth of their first child recently, a little boy, Josh McQuaid
