Doohamlet GFC Notes

SeniorsI.F.L.  Inniskeen  0-10    Doohamlet  1-11

Doohamlet travelled to Inniskeen on Wednesday evening last and although missing four starters from our Championship team the previous Sunday put in  a very workmanlike performance and came away with a four point victory.  Paul McArdle and Mark Murphy were our stars on show both scoring three points each and Ollie Hughes scoring an early goal which set us up for victory.  Colin Walshe, Glen Comiskey, Philip Mone, Ted Duffy and Shane McManus all added scores and keep us top of the league.

Doohamlet 1-12    Rockcorry  2-09

On Sunday last Doohamlet showed great character when they came from 5 points behind and down to 14 men to earn a draw at O’Neill Park.

Doohamlet were dominant in the opening period racing into a five point lead but the away side with a goal from the penalty spot led at half time by two points.  Rockcorry hit a purple spell in the third quarter scoring 1-03 and when Colin Walshe received his second yellow card the home side were reduced to 14 men.  Doohamlet stepped up a gear with strong performances from Ciaran McManus, Shane Connolly and Martin Hughes.  Doohamlet clawed their way back with Philip Mone scoring 1-02.  Mark Murphy and Paul McArdle kept the scoreboard ticking over and in a hectic finish both sides can be satisfied with a share of the points.
