Score after the first quarter stood at Corduff 1-08 Magheracloone 0-01. Magheracloone came out of the traps first in the second half and despite the best efforts of Peter Clinton, Cillian Marron and Jamie King they hit the back of the Corduff net, Corduff responded with a goal of their own after some hard work from Fergal Hanratty and Denis Ward. Magheracloone added 1-02 before the end of the quarter leaving the score line Corduff 2-09 Magheracloone 2-03. Sean Burns scored Corduff opening score this was before Magheracloone went on to register 3 unanswered points  which could have been more only for a goal line save from Corduff Jamie King.
