Ballybay went top of the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League thanks to a 1-10 to 0-10 win away to former leaders Carrickmacross on Friday evening. Latton held Truagh scoreless in the first half on their way to a five-point win which stretched their unbeaten run to four games and moved them up to third. Eight points from Donal Hahessy took Monaghan Harps to a six-point victory at home to Castleblayney, which has them fourth, while goals by Brian McGinnity (two) and Shane Carey helped Scotstown ease past Currin.
Doohamlet are the sole leaders of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League after they ground out a result away to Tyholland on Friday, while Corduff edged out Rockcorry to move clear of the bottom teams.
Killeevan are now within a point of the top of the Eurotech Junior Football League, having seen off table-toppers Emyvale by the narrowest of margins on Friday. Clones continued their resurgence with a comprehensive win over Drumhowan and they are joined in third place by Killanny, who got the better of Éire Óg. The Smithborough men are now bottom after Blackhill leapfrogged them by defeating their neighbours Oram.
