Sean Mac Diarmada Notes 3-5-12
DVD Launch:
The launch of our much anticipated DVD on the club’s 50 year history will take place in the complex on Saturday May 12th. RTE analyst and Meath star Colm O Rourke is set to launch the DVD. A serious amount of time has gone into this project this last year, and undoubtedly would not have been possible only for the cooperation of so many people who thankfully seen fit to lend pictures and archives of any nature to the production of this fine piece of history. It is a must for any house in the parish and those who have association with the community.
DVD COMPETITION:
The next two questions in the quiz competition to win the first copy of the DVDare:
(1) Who is credited with proposing in February 1961 that the club should be named after 1916 Proclamation signatory Sean MacDiarmada?
(2) The club won the All-Ireland Scor Sinsear Ceili Dancing title in 1998. Name four of the winning dancers.
The final two questions will be in the club notes next week and entries can be submitted via email
to pro@seanmcdermotts.net or by leaving an envelope with the name and
phone number of the entrant into McEntee’s shop in Threemilehouse. Closing date for receipt of entries will be Saturday 12th May @ 12 noon. The winner will be presented with their DVD by a GAA celebrity on the launch night. All questions will be repeated next week in the notes. So get your thinking caps on.
