O’Duffy Cup: Our B team make the trip south to Carrickmacross for the O’Duffy Cup (Championship) tomorrow evening Friday, May 4th. Throw-in is at 7.15pm, and extra-time will be played if necessary.
Crawley Cup: The C team began their Crawley Cup Championship campaign with a hard fought victory over Blackhill last Friday evening, April 27th. The final score was 1-9 to 1-7. Scotstown team: C. Recreational Football: The recreational team resume training tonight, Thursday at 7.45pm in Kilmore. New players welcome.
Minors: The minors had two more good wins away against Clontibret last week, and at home to Monaghan Harps on Monday night. Their next outing is away to Carrickmacross on Tuesday, May 8th with a 7.30pm start.
Under 16’s: The Division One side beat Monaghan Harps away last Thursday night by 2-10 to 0-11. They face Doohamlet away next Thursday evening, May 10th. The B team lost to Rock Emmets last week, and are in action again tonight away to Corduff at 7pm.
Under 14’s: The Division Five team play Monaghan Harps away tonight, Thursday May 3rd at 7pm. Good luck to our Under 14 Division One team who play Emyvale this Saturday, May 5th in the Championship Final in Truagh at 12 noon. Any and all support would be greatly appreciated.
Under 12’s: The Under 12 teams were in action in the Spring Leagues on Saturday last at Emyvale. The B team drew with their Emyvale counterparts, while the A team notched another victory in the second game of the day.
Talk Sport for Shauna: Fundraiser for Shauna McPhillips Retts Syndrome Fund, hosted by Marty Morrissey and featuring top Irish sports personalities on this Sunday, May 6th at 8pm in the Hillgrove Hotel. Admission is €10.
Come Dine With An Bhoth: Our latest fundraiser is based on the popular TV show ‘Come Dine With Me’. We are looking for people to host a fun evening on Saturday 26th May by inviting family and as many friends as you know to your house for dinner. Sympathy: All involved with the club were saddened to learn of the passing of former Scotstown coach Paul Hughes who died on Tuesday last. Buzzer as he was known, made a big impression in his time with the club, and was part of the coaching setup that won the League title in 2009. Condolences to his family and friends – Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. The club would also like to extend sympathy to the family and friends of Mary Kate McCaffrey, Knocknalun; Geraldine Garvey, Silverstream.
