The first of the Under 8 Go Games Blitzes took place on Saturday last 12th May . In all there were 4 blitzes that took place throughout the county on Saturday. The 4 host venue’s where
- Eire Og – Seans, Cremartin and Killeevan participated in this blitz.
- Toome – Ballybay, Drumhowan, Monaghan Harps and Doohamlet participated in this blitz.
- Latton – Carrickmacross, Donaghmoyne , Killanny and Magheeracloone participated in this blitz.
- Castleblayney – Emyvale and Scotstown participated in this blitz.
Overall 17 clubs took part in the blitzes, 290 children took part in playing in the blitzes. Due too holy communion the other clubs in the county could not take place.
Through our new Go Games Referee’s Programme, we had 16 new referee’s officiating at the blitzes. All clubs had only positive comments to make on how the new referee’s preformed throughout the blitzes
We would like to thank the host clubs for the use of their facilities, organising fixtures, setting up of pitches and providing refreshments for after the blitz.
We would also like to thank the 17 clubs that took part in the blitzes, also a big thank you to the new referee’s, who done an excellent job of referring the games.
