Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 17th May

Emyvale Festival: June Bank Holiday Weekend.

Friday 1st June: Poker Classic in the Red Boys from 8.30pm. Tickets €30

Saturday 2nd June: Mr.  & Mrs Competition & Varity Show from 9.00pm in the Marquee.

Sunday 3rd June: Family Sports Day including pig racing and lots more from 1.30pm.

Sunday Night 3rd June: Rula Bula live in the Marquee Doors open 10.00pm.

We will have even more details next week. In the meantime, plan to stay at home for the June Bank Holiday weekend. You won’t regret it!

 

JFL: Emyvale 0-10 V Clones 3-07

The senior team played their second game of the weekend on Sunday against Clones. They endured a tough opening 10 minutes in which they lost 3 goals. Despite this they continued to fight but just didn’t get the break they needed to get back into it.

Emyvale (C) 1-11 V Monaghan Harps 1-06

Our C team played Monaghan Harps on Saturday evening and continued their recent form with a fine performance during the first half leading 1-07 to 0-02 at half time. The Second half saw the lads finish out the game 1-11 to 1-06.

JFL: Killeevan 0-10 V Emyvale 2-03

Our senior team had a out of sorts performance last Friday night against Killeevan losing 0-10 to 2-03.

Minors: Our Minors played Cremartin last Tuesday evening at home. They run up a very impressive score line. Final score was Emyvale 7-11 V Cremartin 1-07. This week they played on Tuesday night against Rock Sarsfields, Report to follow next week.

 

Come & Meet Your County Heroes: Open Event This Sunday 20 May In Cloghan at 12.30pm.

All Roads lead to Cloghan this Sunday where all Gaels have a chance to meet our 2012 Senior Ladies National League Champions & Our Senior Footballers ahead of their Championship 2012 Opener against Antrim 27 May in Clones. Our senior players are available to meet & greet all Gaels as well as opportunity for Photographs – Autographs. There will also be Juvenile skills challenge competitions with prizes. Come along and meet the Farney Army, don’t forget your camera.

 

Monaghan V Antrim: Please support our senior and minor county teams in their opening championship game against Antrim in Clones on 27th May. Spring League Finals Day: “Well done to all the youngsters who took part in the Spring League Finals Day at Cloghan on Saturday 12th May. Everyone played well and are looking forward to the Under 12 Leagues starting on Sat 26th May. All photos from the Finals Day can be seen on the Monaghan GAA Website. Go on and have a look.”

 

Volunteer for Club Shop: The club are currently looking for a Volunteer who would be interested in working in our club shop.

Sky TV / Emyvale GAA Offer: The Sky retail store in the Monaghan Shopping Centre is running an offer for new customers wanting to sign up who are connected to the club. The offer consists of a €50 All4One shopping voucher in addition to any sign up offer which Sky has. The club receives €30 for each customer who signs up which is being used to buy gear and equipment for our teams. Make sure to keep this in mind if you are considering signing up to Sky and to mention it to friends or family.

 

Annual lotto: The Club would like to thank all those who continued to support the Club’s annual lotto for the past year. Promoters will be out selling tickets again for the upcoming year in the next couple of weeks. Your support for this would be greatly appreciated.
