Seniors
We had two league fixtures in the last week, with mixed fortunes. On Wednesday in Monaghan against the local Harps a late injury time free gave the Monaghan town side a draw and on Sunday last in Scotshouse, the failure to have a legitimate score registered and the denial of a late free gave the Carrick team a slender one point win. While we are under no illusions that maintaining senior ranks will be difficult, a certain amount of ‘the rub of the green’ will be necessary for to make this happen. In both games our defence has been excellent with Conor and Enda Mc Caffrey and Ben Clerkin adapting really well to senior ranks. Fergal Connolly in goals has been stability personified while up front Stephen Smith has been superb, being our top scorer in all games.

Talksport for Shauna
The fundraiser ‘Talksport for Shauna’ is scheduled for Sunday evening in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan. This is an extremely deserving fundraising event for young Shauna Mc Philips, daughter of Scotstown ‘legend’, Declan. Shauna needs urgent and constant medical attention. Tickets are available from our committee members. All clubs in the county have been asked for their support and we in Currin are delighted to assist.
