Senior League

We played the Harps in the senior league yesterday evening, result next week.

Our next game is at home to Currin on Sunday week, 10th June at 12pm.

 

Reserve League

Clontibret 0-11, Harps 1-13. A disappointing defeat in a game which we could have won and was well within our grasp. Well done to the boys who were called upon at the last minute due to a scarcity of regulars. Team and scorers: Arthur Morgan, Conor Carragher, Padraig McGuigan, Fergal McGuigan, Donal Carragher, Pauric Boyle 0-2, Gareth Brennan, Daithi McKeown, Fergal Greenan 0-1, Lorcan Murphy 0-1, Noel Morgan 0-5, Darren Murphy, Fergal O’Dowd, Shane Hughes, Ryan McGuigan 0-2. Subs: Brendan Og Magennis.

The game due to be played on Friday evening was cancelled as a mark of respect to the late Vincent Tavey. May he rest in peace.

The next game for this team is a home game against Tyholland on Wednesday, 13th June.

 

U16 League

Clontibret 1-5, Toome 2-17. We lost out to a strong Toome outfit last Thursday. There will be a break now for exams with the next match scheduled for 21st June at home to Truagh.

 

U14 League & Championship

The Division 1 side have a home game against the Harps this Saturday at 12pm.

 

The Division 6 team played Carrick in the championship on Tuesday, result next week. They also have a league outing on Saturday, away to Currin at 12pm.

 

U12

Our 12s were unfortunate to lose out to Ballybay on Monday evening. Their next game is at home to Drumhowan on Saturday, 9th June at 12pm.

 

U10

U10 training continues on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. All are welcome to come along.

 

Under 8s & Nursery

Under 8s and u6 nursery continues on Friday evenings at 6:30pm sharp. All boys and girls welcome.

 

Monaghan v Antrim

Well done to our county representatives on progressing to the Ulster semi-final with a great win over Antrim on Sunday.

 

Championship at O’Neill Park

We host our first championship fixture of the year this Saturday when Doohamlet take on Seans in the Intermediate championship at 7pm. Help will needed from 5.30pm so all available stewards should report to the field for this time.

 

Club Meeting

Our Club Maith application is nearing completion. A short meeting will be held this evening, Thursday in the club at 9.30pm for committee members to finalise our application.

 

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the Carragher family on the death of Seamus. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

 

‘GoldMark’ Programme

Run in conjunction with Volunteer Now and the Department of Education, GoldMark aims to recognise the volunteering efforts of young people in sport.  The Programme requires young GAA volunteers, who are actively involved in the GAA to complete a Volunteer Record book which is signed off by a club official.  There are three tiers of awards for the young volunteers, who have to be aged between 14 – 24years.  The three awards are: 50 hours, 100 hours and 200 hours of excellence. Clontibret 3-5 Inniskeen 4-17

Clontibret were beaten in their first senior league game of the year by a stronger Inniskeen team.
