Senior League

Clontibret 1-11, Magheracloone 0-8. A great performance from the boys throughout the field ensured us two valuable league points last Wednesday. Team and scorers: Declan Savage, Donal Carragher, Padraig McGuigan, Fergal McGuigan, Darach Mooney, Paul McGuigan, Conor Boyle, Daithi McKeown, John Paul Mone 0-1, Pauric Boyle, Vinnie Corey 0-1, Rodney Gorman, Eoin McGuigan 0-1, Conor McManus 0-8, Ryan McGuigan 1-0. Subs: Colin Duffy, Eoin Greenan.

 

Clontibret 1-11, Truagh 2-8. A game was played in awful conditions that could have gone either way ended up with a draw. We have a break from matches now as Monaghan prepare for their championship tie against Antrim. Next outing will be away to the Harps on Wednesday, 30th May at 7.45pm.

 

O’Duffy Cup

We play the Harps away on Wednesday week, 23rd May at 7.45pm.

 

Minor League

Clontibret 0-7, Killanny 3-10. We lost with a disappointing performance against Killanny where the boys never got off the ground.

We played Carrick on Tuesday.

 

U16 League

Clontibret 0-11, Carrick 4-12. We lost out to Carrick with an understrength team last Thursday, however with only the bare 15 the boys on duty gave an excellent account of themselves and battled hard throughout. Our next game is next Thursday, 24th May away to Toome at 7pm.

 

U14 League

The Division 6 team are in action at home to Carrick this evening, Thursday at 7pm. The Division 1 team have an away game against Emyvale at 12pm on Saturday.

 

U12

We have been placed in Division 3 of the u12 league for the remainder of the season. This league will begin on Saturday, 26th May.

 

U10

Hard luck to the u10 Community Games team who lost out to Carrick by a mere 2 points last week. This was a disappointing defeat for these young stars but they can be very proud of themselves for reaching this stage in the competition.

U10 training continues on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. All are welcome to come along.

 

Under 8s & Nursery

Under 8s and u6 nursery continues on Friday evenings at 6:30pm sharp. All boys and girls welcome.

 

Hurling

 

Senior Reserve Hurling League

Clontibret 3-14 Inniskeen 5-06

Clontibret qualified for the Development League semi final having beaten Inniskeen by 2 points with the help of strong performances from Christopher Morgan and Raymond McNally.

Semi Final tonight v Castleblayney(away) 7.30pm It will be a tough test for our young team against an experienced Blayney side but another strong team performance from us is expected.

Training continues Mon 7.45pm

 

Minor Hurling League

Our minor team were unlucky in Cootehill on Sunday.

Training continues Wed 7.30pm. We hope to improve for the championship.
