Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in Bens Place was F,E,D,X. There was no Jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were Shaun Grew, Carnmore, Mary McCluskey, Drumully, Elanor & Declan McElroy, Ternaskea, Amy Johnston, Magherarney, Des Connolly, Gortmore, Carmel Corley, Cornafaghy, Breda Tierney, Smithboro. Next Sunday nights draw will be held in the Skule Inn with the Jackpot standing at €3,700. Monies raised from Alpha Lotto are essential to funding the running costs of the club and the effort of all our patrons& sellers is greatly appreciated, without you we wouldn’t be able to progress the club forward and build towards the future by improving facilities etc. Team C is on lotto duty on Sunday 22nd April.
Spring Clothes Collection– Many thanks to all the people who gave in their recycled clothes last Saturday and to those who helped out on the day.
Cardiac Screening Day: The Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives heart screening clinic will visit the club on Saturday 12th May 2012. This service will be available to everyone in the community aged between 14 and 35. Please note that anyone under 16 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Each person being screened is required to complete a questionnaire and the cost to be screened is €45 per person. Anyone interested in being screened, or parents / guardians who wish to have their child screened should contact Margaret Tierney on 047 57021 after 6pm to book
Get Well Soon – The club sends its best wishes to club medic Moira McBride who was recently hospitalised
Monthly Meeting – The next Committee Meeting will now take place on Saturday next 21st April at 6.000pm in the Club Meeting Rooms. All committee members are asked to attend
Under 6,8 & 10 Coaching Mornings –Our under-age coaching for our under-6s, under-8s and under-10s continues on Sunday mornings in Railway Park at 11.15am. Both boys and girls over 5 years of age are very welcome, if your child is interested bring them along to any of the sessions where they will be made most welcome.
Under 12- The U-12s have a bye this weekend. Please check with team mgt for training times. Next game in the Spring Football League is on Saturday 28th April with a home game against Clones. Throw in is down for 12noon.
Under 14 -The U-14 league will commence this Saturday 21st April when we play host to Inniskeen in Smithboro at 12noon. Best of luck to the team and management for the year ahead.
Under 16 –The U-16 played out a draw with Corduff on Thursday last, 12th April. The next 4 days will see the under 16’s play twice with the first game taking place tonight (Thursday) with an away game to Oram at 7pm followed by a trip to Rockcorry on Sunday for a 12noon start against Rock Emmets. .
Under 18 – St Tiernachs commenced their competitive season on Tuesday 10th April with a 1 point victory against Cuchulains Sarsfields. On Tuesday 17th April St Patricks were visitors to Smithboro. Please see results elsewhere. On Tuesday next 24th April the minors will travel to Inniskeen for a 7.15pm throw in.
Garda Vetting Forms – Are available from Dan Toal. All coaches and mentors are required to be garda vetted
Sympathy – The club extends sincerest sympathy to the family of the late Bernie Toal, Magherarney, who died on Sunday last. May he rest in peace.
Reserves – The reserve team played Kilanny last night (Wednesday) please see results elsewhere. Next fixture is on Friday 27th April with an away game against Monaghan Harps in the Crawley Cup at 7.15pm.
Seniors – The seniors lost out to Aghabog on Sunday last on a score line of 1-11 to 0-9. Next game is at home to Oram this Sunday 22nd April. Start time is 2pm.
Ladies Football – U16’s play Kilanny tonight (Thursday) in Smithboro.
