Plantinum Tanks Ltd – Reserve League
Our reserve team played their second game of the Platinum Tanks division 3 league competition when they travelled to play Oram last Sunday morning (25th March). The game was played in glorious sunny conditions and both teams were evenly matched during the first half and the score at the interval was Oram 2-1 Rockcorry 2-3. However, on the restart Oram dominated the opening exchanges and notched up an impressive 2-7 without reply to open up a 4-8 to 2-3 advantage. To the lads credit they never gave up and showed good character and reduced the deficit back to three points when they scored 1-5 but unfortunately they were not able to maintain the momentum and Oram scored a further 1-2 to secure the victory on a final score-line Oram 5-10 Rockcorry 3-8. Team & Scorers: Aaron Clerkin, Michael Carroll, Rory Carroll, Shane Wynne, Stephen Lynch 0-1, Johnny Reilly 1-0, Anthony Tate 0-1 , Conor McGeough 0-1, John Greenan 0-1, Dwayne Rooney 1-3, Colin Quinn 0-1, Ross Murray 1-0, Andrew Carroll.
