Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in the Skule Inn was N, K, Y, W. There was no Jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were K. Moffatt,Roslea, .Doran Family, Mulladuff – SM, Mary Mc Cluskey ,Drumully, Margaret Reilly, Aghabog, Karen Mc Mahon, Magherarney, Nicole Rooney, Corholland, Joan Mc Elroy, Smithboro. Next Sunday’s draw will be held in Bens Place with the Jackpot standing at €2,950. Monies raised from Alpha Lotto are essential to funding the running costs of the club and the effort of all our patrons & sellers is greatly appreciated, without you we wouldn’t be able to progress the club forward and build towards the future by improving facilities etc. Team B is on lotto duty on Sunday 18th March.
Poker Classic – The club’s annual poker classic will take place this Friday night, March 16th. Proceedings will get underway at 8pm.Tickets are priced at €30 and are available from any club member. There is guaranteed prize money of a 40% pay out on the night, we would expect to match, if not exceed, last year’s prize fund. Buy backs and top ups will again be in operation. There will be refreshments served on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated and come along for a great night.
Ladies Football – U16 training is starting next Bank Holiday Monday, the 19th March at 12 o’ clock in the new pitch. All players wanting to play in this age group this year please attend the training.

Spring Clothes Collection– Time to sort out the Wardrobes? Have a big clear out before summer? Yes! The club is organising a used/old clothes collection on Saturday 14th April from 10am till 4pm which will help raise much needed funds. So we ask you to support us and spread the word to friends, relatives and neighbours. Items can be dropped to the club grounds between these times or we can organise to have them collected for you. Plastic bags & information leaflets will be distributed at all juvenile, ladies & men’s football training in the coming week.
Men’s Reserve Football – The men’s reserve team got
their season off to a winning start in the reserve league on Sunday last with a win over Fergal O Hanlon’s in Smithboro.
Gaeltacht Scholarships 2012 – Interviews for Gaeltacht Scholarships will take place in the Enterprise Centre Castleblayney on Saturday 21st April beginning at 10am.These are half scholarships and are available for students in the 14 to 17 age bracket. Cake Sale – Smithboro Boxing Club are holding a cake sale this Sunday 18th March “Mothers day “after 11 30am mass. We would be very grateful if any ladies or gents would like to bake or donate cakes, buns, bread, apple tarts etc. There will be a committee
member at the club from 10.30am to accept your goodies. All donations and support
on the day will be very much appreciated
