Embracing the ‘Off the Booze and on the Ball’ challenge
Off the Booze on the Ball
Last Wednesday in Croke Park, a club from each province – Currin, Monaghan; Erin’s Isle, Dublin; Midleton, Cork; and Kinvara, Galway – celebrated their successful participation in this event and were given their prize of a training session with a high performance coach, by the Director General of the GAA, Pauric Duffy and the Minister, Ms Roisin Shortall. David our Chairman spoke on behalf of all the winners and said that embracing this initiative fitted well into the ethos of the GAA and complimented the training regime embarked on by the club as well as raising much needed funds. For the past week, our club has been a very high profile positive focus in the media, at local and national level. Our delegation in Croke Park had a great day out and represented the club to the highest standard. Well done to all the club members involved.
Fixtures
All the upcoming fixtures at both Juvenile and Senior level can be viewed on the official Monaghan GAA website. Going forward, this is the place to find not only the fixtures but also the results as the year goes on.
Motorsport
Congratulations to former underage player, Daniel Mc Kenna, who won the Midland Stages Rally at the weekend, for the second time. Also in the car in third place, as navigator, was another former Currin stalwart, Patrick Brides. Well done to all concerned.
