Competition Regulations:

(1)University Teams have first preference on Players.

(2)University Teams must submit their panel of twenty six players prior

to 2nd December and counties will have the opportunity to respond by 9th December, the same date that they must submit their panel of twenty six players. All lists will be approved by Competition Control Committee on behalf of Comhairle Uladh at the December meeting.  Teams must be drawn from these twenty six players only, approved by Comhairle Uladh.

(3) A player who has competed with his university team in a similar competition in another province may not participate in the Dr McKenna Cup competition, in accordance with Rial 3.47 (b) T.O. 2011.

(4)A player may not play with both his University and County Team in the same competition.

(5) If teams finish level on points scoring averages will apply.

(6) The fourth placed team shall be determined from the runner up in each

Section using the formula at (5) above.

(7) Refixtures shall be played at Floodlit Grounds.

(8) The Semi Finals and Final shall be played at Floodlit Grounds and include extra time if required.

(9) Failure to comply with Competition Regulations shall entail forfeiture of the game.

Competition Regulations:

(1) Fixtures must be played on designated date and at the stated time, unless otherwise authorised by the CCC Comhairle Uladh.

(2) Minor Football League will be played in two sections with two points for a win and 1 point for a draw.

3) The top two teams in each section will qualify for the League Semi Finals (Top team in Group A will play Second Placed Team in Group B and the Top team in Group B will play the Second Placed Team in Group A), with the winners then meeting in the League Final.  The highest placed team will have home advantage in the Semi Finals.

4) The third and fourth placed teams in each section will qualify for the Shield Semi Finals (Third Placed Team in Group A will play Fourth Placed Team in Group B and the Third Placed Team in Group B will play the Fourth Placed Team in Group A), with the winners then meeting in the Shield Final. The highest placed team will have home advantage in the Semi Finals.

5) Scoring Average will apply in the event of two or more teams in the same section finishing on equal points. If Scoring Average is inoperable, the result between the two teams will decide who progresses.

6) If the circumstances contained in Regulation 5 do not determine the outcome, then a Play Off or Play Offs will be arranged.

7) All counties should submit a panel prior to the competition commencing detailing the list of players that they will be using, including their club, their dates of birth, their place of birth and their mother’s maiden name.
