A Chairde,
CAN CLUBS PLEASE CONFIRM TO ME HOW MANY PEOPLE FROM THEIR CLUB WILL BE ATTENDING ON THE NIGHT ON OR BEFORE MONDAY 27TH FEB. THIS WILL ALLOW ME TO PLAN & ORGANISE THE NIGHT MORE EFFICIENTLY FOR ALL WHO ATTEND
On Tuesday 28th February @ 7:30pm in Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan Coaching & Games are launching “Club Sustainable Coaching Structures” programme.
The purpose of this programme is to enable clubs to plan/review Coaching & Development structures within their club. The key topics to be covered include;
  1. Coaching – qualified & active coaches, Session plans/templates and player pathway.
  2. Recruiting & retaining volunteers.
  3. Strength & Conditioning Programmes for 12 to 18 year olds.
  4. Primary & Secondary School/club links.
Also on the night it is planned to outline a blueprint for clubs to follow, with regard to each of the key topics covered. Follow up individual meetings will be made available to clubs if the required interest is shown.
We are targeting Coaching Officers, Juvenile Chairpersons & Secretarys and or someone with experience of implementing action plans within a club or workplace.
Some clubs might question the benefits of trying to implement a programme like this within their club but we as an Association are facing huge challenges from other sports, peoples perception of the GAA & high immigration levels. So we as clubs & coaches must strive to improve all the time, by reviewing or implementing coaching structures should ensure we do this and give our young gaels an opportunity to enjoy, develop & stay involved with our games.
Thanks in advance for your support
Yours in GAA
.
