Aughnamullen Notes

Lotto: The lotto was held in the social centre on Sunday night last. There was no winner. Numbers drawn were 23,17,25,11. Next weeks Jackpot now stands at 5,800 euro. Lucky dip winners were as follows: Siobhan Mooney, Tommy Flanagan, Lauren Ward, Martin Markey, Bernie Duffy, Liam O’ Neill, Sean Duffy, Laura Hamilton, Carmel Hughes and Niamh Hughes (Tossey). Next weeks lotto team is Patrick Duffy, Ann Blanch, Seamus and Paddy Markey.
Annual Dance: Will take place on Saturday the 18th of February in the social centre with awards to the hall of fame recipients and the 1972/73 winners being honoured. Tickets cost 15 euro anyone requiring tickets contact Brian Mc Ardle on 0834191986.
Juvenile Presentation: Was held on Sunday last with all juvenile teams recieving presentations. Thanks is extended to the juvenile committee who helped organise the day and also to the county players Owenand Kieran Duffy who made the presentations and county youth officer Cathal Hand who was present on the day.
Membership: Membership is now due. Cost is 20 euro for single person or 40 euro for family, Please contact Brian Mc Ardle Club secretary as soon as possible.
Aughnamullen Ladies: There was a good turnout at training last week. Training again this friday night at 6:45pm. All please attend.
Minors: Our team name this year is Cuchulain Sarsfields. Mentor for the minor team this year is Colm Mc Geough.
Well done: The Monaghan county under 21′ s had another good victory over Meath on Sunday last. Well done to Pete Dooney and Sean Sheridan.
Child Protection Course: This course will be held on the 16th and 23rd of February and also on the 1st of March anyone interested in taking part please contact our juvenile officers John Sheridan or Dermot Hamill as soon as possible.
Congratulations: Congrats to Mark Meegan and Dervla Keenan who got engaged recently.
Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Victor,  Miriam and Family on the death of young Jack Conlon Latton. Sympathy is also extended to the Mc Vicar family Cremartin on the sudden death of Paddy Mc Vicar. Paddy was true GAA supporter. We also sympatise with the Farmer family Latton on the death of shane and to Angela, Sean and Micheal Duffy on the death of their uncle Eoin Duffy from Belfast. Our deepest sympaties are with all the families. May they all rest in peace and may God have Mercy on their souls.
