Lotto . The Lotto draw took place on Monday evening in the clubrooms. The numbers drawn were 4, 12, 18 and 25. The Jackpot was not won. The following four players collected fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip draw…Niamh and Donal Kindlon, Coolderry, Paul Matthews, Killark, Aoife Kerins, Breslanstown and Anne Reilly, No. 7, Lisdrumskeagh.
The next draw will be held on the 23rd January, 2012 in the clubrooms.
New Management Team. All Under-21, Junior and Senior players are invited to a meeting with the new management team on Friday, January 27th at 8.30. All players are asked to attend at the Community Centre and the plans for 2012 will be outlined and discussed.
Poker Classic. The annual Magheracloone G.F.C. fund-raising Poker Classic will be held this year on Sunday 12th February. The venue is the Magheracloone Community Centre and the usual cash prizes are up for grabs on the night. The evening’s play commences at 6.00 p.m. and further information is available from the executive members.
Membership. The membership fee for 2012 is now due and can be paid to any executive member. The fee is fixed at 25 euro for ordinary members and 50 euro for players. The extra fee is to cover insurance for the players. All monies must be paid by the end of March to obtain membership for 2012.
Coaching Courses. The Spring Coaching Development Programme for 2012 has been announced. The Coaching Officer, Paul Curran has been extremely busy in designing a comprehensive plan for January, February and March.
Among the various elements are Foundation and Level One Courses for Children and Youth/Adults. The Foundation Courses are fixed for February and the Level One Courses will take place in February for Coaching Children and in March for Youth/Adults.
Furthermore a number of interesting one day courses will run throughout the spring, many of which are free of charge. Further information can be got from the club secretary and from the juvenile secretary. All mentors are expected to develop their skills and expertise by attendance at some of these courses.
Job Bridge Scheme. A second Job Bridge scheme is being promoted by the GAA with over 200 vacancies countrywide. The work will mainly be in the Games Development area and further information can be got from the club secretary or www.jobbridge.ie. If any club member feels that these positions would suit him, they should check out the website at the earliest opportunity.
