Ladies Football News

By michael Mon 2nd Jan

Firstly on behalf of Monaghan ladies county board, I would like to wish everyone a Peaceful and Happy New Year. Everything has been quiet over the past few weeks but this Sunday sees the senior county girls back in action again when they take on Fermanagh in the Dowd Cup. Monaghan won this competition for the first time last year, and they will be hoping they can repeat that this year. The girls, after a well deserved break ,resumed training on Tuesday evening last. They will be missing a few regulars on Sunday but it will give the management a chance to look at some of the newer players in preparation for the National league which starts at the beginning of February. After their successes in 2011, we wish the team and management the very best of luck in 2012 and lets hope they can go that one step further this year.
