Alpha Lotto – There was no winner of last week’s Jackpot in The Skule Inn worth €1,600. The winning letters on the night were A,G,C,R. White Collar Boxing Kangaroo Style – The pairings and running order for the White Collar Boxing – Kangaroo Style were announced on Sunday last. Juvenile Meeting – As we prepare for 2012 we are looking to recruit new coaches & helpers for our under-age teams. There is a Juvenile meeting this Tuesday 24th January at 9pm in the clubrooms, anyone interested in helping with the underage teams are asked to attend. All Parents are welcome.
Scor – The Club are anxious to play a part in the GAA’s cultural competition and are seeking competitors for all of the categories which are: Ceili Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Novelty Act, Quiz, & Set Dancing. The Monaghan county semi-finals are scheduled for the 17th & 19th February, with the final down for the 25th February. Anyone interested in getting involved is asked to contact Cultural Officer Alan McGorman on 0879354889 for further information.
Defibrillator Training Course – In conjunction with Clones Civil Defence the club intends to run a Defibrillator Training Course course in February. Anyone wishing to receive this training is asked to get in touch with Margaret Tierney by telephone on 047 57021 after 6pm before Friday 27th January
Cardiac Screening Day – Subject to sufficient interest the club is planning to facilitate a Cardiac Screening day in February. This event is organized by ‘Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives’, a mobile heart screening service, set up to provide cardiac screening to help prevent sudden deaths in young people who may have “Sudden Adult Death Syndrome”. Males and females aged between 14-35 years old are eligible to be screened. This is open to all persons male or female and they need not be GAA Players or Members. We would hope that as many people from the Community would avail of this worthwhile Service. Anyone interested in getting screened or obtaining more information should get in touch with Margaret Tierney by telephone on 047 57021 after 6pm.
Ladies AGM The date for the Ladies AGM is this Sunday the 22nd January at 3p.m. in the Clubrooms. All players, members, and intending members are invited to come along to hear about a very successful 2011 for the ladies club and to plan ahead for 2012. Your support in helping out in whatever way you can, will be most welcome.
Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Developmentt Conference – There is an Ulster Coaching conference taking place on Saturday 28th January in the Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown, places must be booked so any coaches interested can contact Secretary Jonathan McMahon 087 9027413.
