Doohamlet GFC Notes
 
First of all a Happy New Year to all and we all hope for a successful season both on and off the field.
With all activites stalled on the playing field a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes. Dessie Mc Bennett has returned to manage the Senior team in 2012 and has taken David McGregor on board as his trainor.
Dessie and David are both wished all the best during 2012 and held their first players meeting on Saturday evening last when plans were laid for the coming year.
 
Reserve Team Management:  Congratulations to Paul McElroy and Shane and Niall Johnny Connolly wo were ratified as mentors of our Reserve team for 2012.
 
Membership: Is now due and Committtee members will be calling on all local Gaels in the coming weeks.
 
Family Quiz:  Our Juveniles are running a family quiz in the hall on Sunday 29th January at 3pm.  All proceeds will go to our juveniles and the running of our underage teams.
 
Sympathies:  Our club sends its sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late Jemmy Casey and his wife Bridie Casey who passed away recently. Jemmy and Bridie were held in high esteem in the community and will be sorely missed
 
Blotto 19/12/11:  As a special christmas bonus our club decided to reward our loyal blotto supporters with 10 lucky dips with each winner receiving 200 euro each.  The lucky dip winners were as follows:  Sheila Connolly, Killycrum; Briege Hughes, Oghill; Daniel Forde, Oram; Rebecca Sheill, Crossroad Shop; Donal McNally, Tonyglasson; Toby Boylan, Doohamlet; Michael Rushe, Oghill; Lily Finnegan, Rossullus; Bridie Harte, Doohamlet; Graine & Darren Malone, Toronto.  Next draw will be on Monday January 20th 2012.  Jackpot €8,000.
