Christmas Party Night: This has been fixed for Saturday December 17th in the Social Club at the Complex. The December Ciste draw will take place on the night as well, so you might be lucky enough to scoop an early Christmas present. It promises to be a great night of music and craic!
Scotstown DVD: The DVD is currently out of stock, but it’s hoped to have more copies of it available before Christmas. Keep an eye on the Club Notes for more details.
Scór: The Ulster semi-finals took place last Saturday, December 3rd in Clontibret. Local lady Mollie McKeever represented the county excellently, taking the honours in the Solo Singing. Well done also to the Ballad Group and the Irish Dancers who did the club and county proud, but were not amongst the winners on the night. Our representatives on the Ballad Group were: Aimee McMahon, Mollie McKeever, Frances Connolly-Hughes, Jennifer Nugent and Caitriona Sherlock. The Irish Dancers were: Mollie McKeever, Frances Connolly-Hughes, Eimear McKenna, Shauna Lappin, Caoimhe Mohan, Sinead McGuirk, Aoibhinn McQuaid and Sarah Rooney. Thanks to Amy McKeever, Fiona Nugent and Gerard McQuaid for their help and preparation. Well done to Mackie Rooney who was “Fear an Tí” on the night, ably assisted by Pauline Rooney. Comhghairdeas libh!

Scotstown Ladies Club AGM: The Ladies AGM will take place on Friday night, the 9th of December in Scotstown Complex at 8pm. It is very important that all senior players attend as well as parents of juveniles. Our committee has been kept afloat by a minority of a few hard working ladies – this does not reflect the size of the club, with the most registered players in Monaghan and more help is needed. Please make a special effort to attend.
Fit For All: A keep fit class takes place for both ladies and men in Tydavnet Community Centre every Monday and Thursday night at 8pm. The class includes a wide variety of different fitness techniques including circuits. The first class is free when you attend, give this a try and see how you can lose calories before Christmas – just 2 weeks to go!
