The Alpha Lotto Draw took place in the Bens Place on Sunday night last. The winning letters were M,S,A,J. Congratulations to both Seamus Mohan, Roslea and Marie Mc Govern, Clones who shared the jackpot of €4,150. The weekly winner of €60 was Sean Scott, Dundalk-SM Winners of the €20 luck dip were Maureen O’ Donoghue, Monaghan, Peter Toal, Newbliss, B. Maguire, Derryvollen, Cormac Mac Cionnaith, Carrowbarra, Mc Bride Family, Mulladuff, Theresa Mc Mahon, Magherarney, Nicole Rooney, Corholland. Sellers Prize of €20 each went to Caroline Mc Mahon & Gerry Lambe .The next draw will be on Sunday 11th December in The Skule Inn .Jackpot is now €1,000. Thanks to all for your continued support to what is an essential club income. Weekly tickets can be purchased at a number of outlets in the village or from any club member. Eire Og Centre of the community for 40 years is still on sale in local shops for €10. It’s a really interesting look at Eire Og and the history of the village itself.
Juvenile Football – With the underage football wrapped up for the year we would like to extend a huge amount of appreciation to the coaches, mentors and parents who took both the girls and boys throughout the season. Without their volunteerism Eire Og GFC wouldn’t be possible. We hope to see old and new faces next year when it all starts over again
Club Committee – The new 2012 committee met for the first time on Monday night and a constructive meeting set about putting structures in place for the new season. Also at this meeting Jonathan McMahon was appointed the new Secretary of the club.
Club Shop – There is a limited range of Juvenile club merchandise for sale at the minute. The club shop will be open on Sunday 18th December from 12.30pm – 1.30pm for anybody looking to making an ideal Christmas purchase.
Membership – The club can confirm that membership rates for 2012 will remain unchanged. The price is €20 and can be paid to Ciaran Leonard.We would encourage existing club members to renew their subscriptions as soon as possible and we would sincerely welcome any newcomers wishing to join. All players are reminded that monies must be paid before the commencement of the 2012 season. Any player who fails to pay the membership fees will not be considered for selection and similarly the club will decline to cover any medical expenses incurred in the event of an injury being sustained

Do you have any exercise equipment that’s gathering dust! Any equipment that you don’t use anymore or as much as you used to? Would you like to find a better home for it?
If so, the club would be delighted to hear from you and we’ll make sure it’s put to good use. Magherarney Community Childcare Services – Pre School & After School are holding a festive cake sale in Smithboro hall on Sunday 18th December at 10am. Anyone wishing to donate to the cake sale please contact Patricia 047 57917. All support would be appreciated.

Congratulations are extended to Veronica McGorman on taking over the reins of Ladies Club Captain at Clones Golf Club and to Andrew McMahon who played a leading role for Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in their recent success in the final of the Higher Education Football League.
