Cultural Night:

Our monthly Traditional Irish Music session took place on Friday 4th November, in the complex. This was a superb night’s entertainment. A huge thank you to all the musicians & singers on the night – our local talent, plus Corcaghan C.C.É. and Monaghan C.C.É., plus musicians from Emyvale and Clones. A terrific night was had by all. Thank you !

So remember to keep the 2nd Friday free, next session takes place on Friday 9th December. We look forward to seeing you all there. Everyone welcome!

 

Spraoi Scór:

 The St. Michael’s & St. Mary’s NS pupils who represented our club in Sproai Scór on Friday 28th October were: Instrumental Group – Shane Maguire, Megan Kierans, Caoimhe McMahon, Orlaith McElvaney & Aoife Staunton. Solo Singing – Erin McCrudden. Recitation – Abbey Killoran. Quiz Team – Orlaith McElvaney, Sean Morgan & Rhaínna McEntee. Ceile Dancing – Kerrie Freeman, Killian Murphy, James Murphy, Shane Maguire, Ellen McKenna, Daynah McElvaney, Caoimhe McMahon, Abbey McEntee.

 

Scór na nOg:

 The talented teenagers of our parish will now be representing our club in Scór na nOg on Friday 18th November @ 7.30pm, in Ardaghey. All support on the night would be greatly appreciated.

 

Jubilee Year:

Any person who may have old photos or video archive from club activities over the last 50 years are, and who think it is worthy of inclusion in our Jubilee DVD are asked to contact Ciaran Mc Entee or Gerry Lynch. Footage from the Gala Banquet will be included in the DVD, which will be available in December.

 

AGM:

Our club AGM is penciled in for Friday 2nd December 2011 @9:00pm. It is recommended that it takes place before  county convention which is scheduled for Thursday 8th December. Nomination forms have been distributed and need to be returned to club secretary Derek Mc Mahon by Friday 11th November.

 

Bowls:

Bowls every Thursday night in complex at 8.30pm. New members of all ages welcome. Coaching and Bowls will be provided.

Votes of Sympathy:

CLG Sean Mac Diarmada would like to sympathise with the Mc Elwaine family, Aughnamallagh on the death of Mrs Mc Elwaine and the Mc Guinness family on the death of Fran Mc Guinness. May they rest in peace.
