There was no luck, however, for Donaghmoyne’s ladies, who lost by a point at home to Carnacon of Mayo in the All-Ireland Club SFC semi-finals, or for Clontibret’s camogie team, who finished the wrong side of a goal-fest in the Ulster junior final against Cavan champions Castletara.
Carrickmacross completed a Monaghan intermediate double with a 3-11 to 0-12 win over Currin in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League Final on Sunday, with goals from Seán Downey, Stephen Gollogly and Gary McEnaney proving crucial.
Scotstown finished stongly to edge out Truagh in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division One Final, while Castleblayney lifted the RFL Division Four Final at the expense of neighbours Blackhill.
Emmet Grattans won the Silver Hill Foods Minor Hurling League on Saturday, as they saw off Castleblayney after extra-time.
