Sympathy

On behalf of the club I want to extend my deepest and sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Barry & Bernie McCormick following the sudden passing of their daughter Caoimhe. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Come Dine For Rock

As a mark of respect to the McCormick family and close friends our Come Dine for Rock night scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed until Saturday 3rd December.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 1st December at 7.00pm. Nomination forms will be circulated to all club members over the coming week and should be returned to club secretary Martina McKeown before the required date. The annual general meeting is the most important meeting of the year and ALL club members are invited to attend in order to reflect on the previous twelve months and to look ahead for the upcoming year. It is also a time to elect a new management committee and to communicate with other members about how the club is functioning.

Coaching Conference

Monaghan GAA Coaching & Games Development committee are holding a Football Coaching Conference on Saturday 26th November in St Macartan’s College, Monaghan. The conference objective is to provide quality information and innovative methods of delivery, for coaches working with players from 6 to 16 years of age. At the conference coaches will get the opportunity to see some of Monaghan’s finest coaches in action and also witness at first hand some of the country’s most innovative coaches & personalities share their thoughts on best coaching practices. Coaches delivering workshops at the conference are Tony Scullion (Ulster Council), John Morrison (Cavan, Senior Team Coach), John Evans (Director of Football in Tipperary), Pauric McDonald (Director of Football, Kilmacud Crokes), Macartan McKenna (Ulster DENI Coach), Marty Corey (Monaghan Games Development Assistant) & Dermot McArdle (Performance Coach System Management). This conference is an ideal opportunity for coaches to see coaches who are masters of their trade in action and hear and see them talking about skills, movement, and structures critical to player and club development.  The cost of the conference will be €10 per person and the club has agreed to pay. The conference will consist of practical & theory presentations so please come prepared for indoor & outdoor activities. Soup & sandwiches will be provided for all participants who attend the conference. Anybody interested in attending this conference can download an application form by logging onto our website www.rockcorrygaa.ie or alternatively our youth officer Pascal Smyth has left a number of forms in  Coyles Service Station. Simply select which workshops you would like to attend and return the form before Friday 18th November. TOP 4 LOTTO JACKPOT €9,900  

The numbers drawn last Monday night were 6, 20, 24 and 26. There was no jackpot winner of €9,800.00.
