Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club Notes:

Committee Meeting on tonight Thursday 1st December at 8.30 p.m. sharp. All committee members please attend.

“Friends of Latton”: All members/ subscribers to Cairde Leachtain, “Friends of Latton,” are invited to the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre, Latton on tomorrow night (Friday 2nd December) for a special draw for all fully paid up members of Cairde Leachtain at 10 p.m. 1st Prize of €250.00, 2nd Prize of €150.00, and 3rd Prize of €100.00. The club wish to sincerely thank all members of Cairde Leachtain for your generosity, helping the club to achieve continued success and development on and off the playing field. If any member of the “Friends of Latton,” has not yet paid their contribution for the current year, please do so immediately to ensure entry to draw on tomorrow night (Friday 2nd December) at 10p.m. Again, all members and their families are invited to attend the G.A.A. Centre tomorrow night.

A.G.M. 2012: The club’s Annual General Meeting for 2012 will take place in the clubrooms on Wednesday 11th January 2012, at 7.30p.m.

Nomination /Motion forms will be circulated to all club members shortly, and must be returned, no later than Wednesday 21st December at 10 p.m. Club members are requested to give due consideration or their choice of nominee’s and motions for the A.G.M.

Coaching Courses etc.: Any club member interested in taking part in Coaching Courses etc. please contact Paddy Lynch immediately on 042-9742224.

DVD’s of Finals: DVD’s of the Senior County Final, U-21 and U-16 Finals are available by contacting club chairman Seamus Coyle on 087-6814067.

Junior Championship Winning Team 1986: On Sunday 14th September 1986 at Pearse Park, Ballybay, Latton O’Rahilly’s recorded a historic victory, winning the McCaldin Shield Monaghan Junior Football Championship defeating Rockcorry on a final score line of 2-09, Rockcorry 1-07.

To honour this heroic team, the club are holding a special presentation on the 25th Anniversary of the 86 J.F.C. win, to the team on Wednesday 28th December in the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre at 9 p.m. More details next week.

Christmas Day Swim 2011 takes place on Christmas morning 25th December at 12 noon at Lough Avaughan. Latton. Sponsorship cards available from all club players with proceeds going to local Senior Citizen’s activities.

Get fit for Christmas- Women’s Fit Camp: Shape up- Tone Up- Lose weight for Christmas!: Women’s fitness classes commencing on Wednesday nights 7.30 p.m. -8.30 p.m. in the G.A.A. Centre, also on Monday nights in Church Hall, Clones Road, Ballybay. Contact Joey for details on 087-1277022 or just come along, suits all fitness levels.

Juvenile Committee Meeting: for all involved in underage club activities in 2011, Juvenile committee, team managers, parents etc. in the club rooms on Tuesday next, 6th December at 7.30 p.m. sharp.

Mass for Deceased Members of the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Club will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Latton on Saturday 11th February, 2012 at 8p.m.

Latton Lotto X-tra: €15, 800 is the Jackpot for this weekend’s Latton Lotto  X-tra Draw, which takes place on Sunday next 4th December at the Rocky Street Bar, Ballybay. No Jackpot winner last weekend at draw in Mena’s Bar. Numbers drawn 25-18-2-19-. Bonus No 27. €20.00 winners, Shean Farmer, Anascue, Ciaran & Paddy, c/o  O’Brien’s Bar, Angela Hamilton, Shercock, Niall Duffy, Latton and John Farmer, Latton.
