Clontibret
AGM
Our AGM on Friday last was quiet but workmanlike. The year was reviewed in detail with the secretary Frank McManus and Youth Officer Fergal Mone outlining the main on-field action of the year from juvenile to senior level. The secretary also highlighted a number of important issues in relation to management of juvenile teams, the current state of hurling in the club and the demise of senior ladies football in the area. Fergal spoke of the continuing need for further assistance with juvenile teams to alleviate the pressure on executive members and senior players. Treasurer and Development Officer Kieran Lavelle outlined the plans for the newly purchased field adjacent to our grounds, and although this will require a lot of work from the members in terms of fundraising in the near future, it marks an exciting time for our club and all present agreed that great credit is due to all who have brought the project to this stage. Chairman Colm addressed the gathering and thanked all who contributed to the work of the club throughout the past year, and spoke of the many successes and achievements during the year, the highlight of which was the securing of both the senior and minor league titles, as well as the Crawley Cup and the u14 Division 2 league and championship double. All outgoing officers were returned to their respective positions and are as follows for 2011. Chairman: Colm Gormley, Secretary: Frank McManus, Treasurer: Kieran Lavelle, Vice-Chairman: Declan Moen, Insurance Officer Peadar Hughes, Assistant Treasurer: Mickey McSkeane, PRO: Kathy McManus, Youth Officer: Fergal Mone, Coaching Officer: Owen McKeown, Registrar: Thomas Greenan, Players’ Officer: Vinnie Corey, ASAP Officer: Jerome Savage.
