Scor na nOg – Thanks and well done to our entrants in last weekend’s Scor na nOg competition who performed creditably and were unlucky not to bring home some silverware. The performers were Kathy Coleman, Ciara Kelly, Laura Brohan, Amy Brohan, Emma Heavin, Muirin McHugh and Nessa Kelly under the expert eye of mentor Marese Heavin.

Gaelic4Girls – The gaelic4girls participants received their certificates and jerseys last Thursday evening from County All Star, Sharon Courtney, who gave the girls some advice for the Blitz on Saturday. On the day we had 38 girls competing, split into 3 age groups, and they all got 4 games each. Despite the weather the girls played their hearts out and did the Faughs proud – there were no winners, it was all about the fun of taking part. During lunch the girls got to meet some of the Monaghan Ladies teams who presented them with their medals and signed their jerseys. This week will be the last of the gaelic4girls programme (Thurs 7-8pm) but girls’ football will return at the end of Jan 2012.
