Reserve League Division 3

Clontibret 3-6, Aughnamullen 2-12. A game we could have won and a great second half come back showed the character of the team nearly overturning a 14 point deficit. Team and scorers: Declan Savage, Brian McSkane, Kevin Ward, Christopher Fanning, Philip Rooney, Fergal McGuigan, Christopher Tedore, Fergal Greenan, Kieran Greenan, Paul Winters, Tommy Greenan, Darren Murphy, Niall Duffy 2-6, Fergal O’Dowd 1-0, Shane Murphy. Well done to all who contributed to a great effort throughout the year which netted the Crawley Cup, and also saw a run through the league with only two defeats, a great achievement by all accounts from a wide range of players, both young and experienced. Many thanks to Tommy, Colm and Frank for their sterling effort throughout the year with this team, which often goes unnoticed.

Minor League

The very best of luck to our minor team who will play in the championship final against Truagh this Sunday in Inniskeen at 1.45pm. Get out in numbers and support the boys in their fight towards securing another minor title.

U14 League Semi-Final

The final will take place on Saturday, 8th October against Toome in Blackhill at 1pm. Everybody is urged to turn out in numbers and show your support for the boys in what will be the last juvenile match of the year. The very best of luck to the boys and their management in their quest for silverware.

Coaching Courses

Foundation Level, Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses will take place during October and November. Please let coaching officer Fergal Mone know if you are interested. It’s important to keep club standards high for the club to receive Club Maith recognition. If there is enough interest within the club we can get the courses held at our grounds.

Coaching Workshop

There will be a coaching workshop called ‘Gaelic Start’ for u6 and u10 coaches in Our Lady’s secondary school gym at 7.30pm next Tuesday, 11th October. All relevant persons are encouraged to attend on the evening.
