Ulster Final of Club Championship

Clontibret have finally got a date for the Ulster Final of the  Bridie Mc. Meniman Shield, having qualified  at the end of September,  when they defeated St. Pauls of Antrim.  Controversy hung over their opponents, Castletara, the Cavan Champions, who have now been deemed eligible to participate in the Ulster Final on Sunday 6th November.

Taste of the World

Next Thursday  night 3rd. November,  Monaghan County Camogie Board  have organised a Cookery Demonstration Night in the Glencarn Hotel Castleblayney Chefs from:

The Glencarn Hotel (Castleblayney)

Royal Jade (Castleblayney/Carrickmacross) and

La Cantina (Dundalk) will demonstrate their culinary arts.

 

Proceedings begin with a mulled wine reception starting at 6:45. There will also be a

demonstration in cocktail making, with a Christmas theme and a Cake Icing Demonstration.

There will  be an exhibition of locally produced food from. Exhibitors: McArdle Meats, Cake and Crumb, Kashmere Kitchen, Mulberry Meadow Farm, Puddleduck Lane, Pollock’s Pickles, Kirk’s Seafood, Sinead Townsend, Silver Hill Foods and Mary’s Home Baking, and ‘Scentsy Wickless Candles’

 

Tickets are €10 and will be on sale from the following outlets:

 

Raffle on night with prizes kindly donated from the above exhibitor’s.   

 

 

Fixtures Structures

Monaghan have been placed  along with Cavan ,Dublin, Offaly, Tyrone and Westmeath  in the All Ireland Junior A section  for next year.

 

Ulster Camogie Awards Lunch

The annual Ulster Camogie Awards Lunch will take place on Saturday 12th November in Kelly’s Inn, Garvaghy, Co. Tyrone at 1.30pm. Tickets are priced at £15 and will include Roast Turkey & Ham Dinner, selection of desserts and tea/coffee.

The Lunch is open to all clubs in the county, especially competition winners .To allow the Awards Lunch to celebrate the successes in Ulster Camogie in 2011, it is expected that all competition winners will be represented on the day with the following

Team Mentors
Chairperson/Secretary/both

Coaching Development Initiative Day

The Coaching Development training day which took place in Ballygawley, Co Tyrone was well represented by Ulster Delegates including Mary Meehan from Monaghan, on Saturday last.  The course which revolved around “The Mums and Me” programme was most informative and clubs will be putting this in operation shortly to encourage Parents get involved coaching their daughters basic camogie  skills.
