The itinerary is as follows:

11am Registration

11.15am- Mums & Me Programme

Director of Camogie Development Mary O’Connor and her development team deliver the programme looking at training mothers and daughters in the basic skills in Camogie. This will allow mothers then to go through a checklist for the important skills of the game when learning the game with their daughters.

12.15pm- Coaching the TACKLE IN CAMOGIE

1pm- Lunch

1.45pm- Player Lifestyle and Performance Camps

This programme is open to club players from 14-17 age group. It is aimed at improving player development, identifying how sport can improve a players lifestyle and career advancement. Includes a discussion forum for players to have their views heard and to how to retain these players in the long term in the sport

2.30pm Camóg- Aerobics.

This is a fitness programme for mothers combining Camogie skills and circuits. The aim of this programme is to involve mothers in a club whose daughters may already be playing Camogie but due to lack of knowledge etc her mother may not be involved in any role for the club.

3.15pm- Tea & Coffee Break

3.30pm- Drills Galore

Main focus on 8-9 skills and gives a basic, intermediate and advanced drill for each skill as well as warm up games.

5.15pm- Quick Q&A

5.30pm Close of Day

 

Volunteer of the Year Award

Ard Comhairle are rolling out a Volunteer of the year award for 2011.

Each County Board will run this initiative in their own county and follow certain guidelines

Volunteer Award Nomination Forms will be sent to all clubs, who in turn nominate their own County name, counties should take a picture presenting their award to the award recipient and send it to Yvonne Byrne,  her email is yvonne@camogie.ie or if clubs have any other queries they can contact her directly on 087 623 5855.

“Taste of the World”

Thursday 3rd November is a night out for all the budding cooks getting ready for the Christmas fare when 3 local chefs cook their culinary delights from around the World in the Glencarn Hotel.  An exhibition of locally produced foods will also take place, including Blueberry Organic Farm Produce, Cake and Crumb Glutenfree cakes etc., Emyvale.  Pollocks’ chutneys, Silver Hill Duckling, Keith Shortt Meats and  Puddleduck Lane, Mary Treanor home baked fare  to name but a few. This event is being organised by Monaghan Camogie Board to raise much-needed funds.

Inniskeen

Inniskeen Camogie club is proudly holding the Kavanagh Country 10K run this Saturday at 11am.Registration will be open on Friday evening 6-9pm and on Saturday morning from 8:30am.Registration will close at 10:30 on Saturday morning so please arrive in good time.

We would appreciate if all locals could do their part in helping with the smooth running of things. This means keeping dogs in, keep your cars/vehicles clear from the race route etc.
Please note that there will be restricted access to the village centre between 10:30am and 11:45am.  More information and race route can be seen on www.kavanaghcountry10krun.ie
